Whistler Gymnastics Club is a popular Whistler & Pemberton community organization with over 350 members, and offers quality gymnastic, trampoline and acrobatic disciplines for all ages and abilities. If you love coordinating community sports programs & coaching gymnastics & trampoline (especially to kids), we're looking for energetic, passionate leaders for our team.
Current positions available:
Club Administrator/Program Coordinator - If you like organizing community sports programs, we need your solid business skills to help with club registration and accounts for our members, and your strong coordination skills to run our quality classes/drop-in programs for our kids & adults! Part-time Competitive Artistic and/or Trampoline Gymnastics Coach - We are looking for a dynamic and professional, certified Artistic Gymnastics & Trampoline Coach who can join our team 8-12 hours per week in our Competitive programs. Preference will be given to someone who has NCCP Level 2 certification, and experience in competitive gymnastics. Most hours are weekday evenings and possible Sunday morning, but coaches are expected to accompany athletes to several competitions throughout the season. More hours may also be available in our recreational programs.
Casual Gymnastics & Trampoline Coaches - We are looking for trained or certified coaches for 5-15 hrs per week working with all ages and abilities, for our competitive artistic gymnastics program, and for our recreational gymnastics programs including active start, school groups and adult drop-in programs. Hours are available mornings, afternoons and evenings during midweek and weekends. Detailed Coach Job Information for specific expectations.
Pre-CIT Coaches-in-Training – This opportunity is available for 13-15 year olds to begin leadership and coach training through pre-CIT mentorship. It includes volunteer and paid hours assisting in Gymnastics For All programs.
Coach Minimum Qualifications -
- Candidates must have minimum NCCP Gymnastic Foundations and Level 1 Technical certification in either AG or TG disciplines.
- Criminal record check.
- Basic First aid is a bonus.
- Respect in Sport and Making Ethical Decisions certificates are important but can be completed through our club.
