Competitive REGISTRATION INFORMATION 2009-10

 
UPDATED JUNE 15: Women's PreCompetitive
Gymnasts will be identified and selected to train in a precompetitive developmental program 6 hours/2 times per week. Focus will be on training-to-train for competitive level fundamental artistic skills and performance. This will be an entry level program to Competitive Gymnastics. Athletes will develop both physical and mental readiness for competition.   They will increase physical capacities of strength/power, flexibility; learn team work and gain self-confidence. These athletes will attend appropriate Interclub events or Developmental level competitions to gain performance experience. The program includes a 1/2 hr of dance training. 
 
Women's Provincial Level 1
This is the first level of girls competitive artistic gymnastics. Routines are compulsory. This level is the stepping stone into Provincial Level 2 and Level 3 groups. It is mandatory to train 10 months of the year for 9 hours a week. This includes dance training.  It is also required, that athletes attend a minimum of 2 summer camps. Athletes will perfect the basic skill of competitive gymnastics and gain strength, flexibility, endurance and self confidence. Athletes will attend 3 meets a year.  Provincial Level 1 athletes will be selected from our Interclub and Gymnastics For All programs. Time changes updated June 15th in chart below.
 
Women's Provincial Level 2 and Level 3
Athletes who have competed in Provincial Level 1 and who have been asked to move up due to their inventory of level 2 skills may enroll in this program.  Athletes will train 10 months of the year for 11 hours a week. This includes dance training. It is also required, that athletes attend a minimum of 3 summer camps. Athletes need to maintain regular attendance in order to reach the difficulty of skills required for these levels. Athletes will increase strength, flexibility, endurance, agility, speed and self-confidence. Athletes will attend 4 meets per year not including trials to BC Championships.  Additional meets and championships will have an extra cost.Time changes updated June 15th in chart below.
 
CHANGED FOR 09-10 : Men's Pre Competitive will train in as Saltos for this year.
This group will be coached by a new addition to our competitive staff, Jeremy, former national level competitor, who is looking forward to the development of our boys programming. He hopes t take these athletes to Interclub events to gain performance experience.  They will increase physical capacities of strength/power, flexibility; learn team work and gain self-confidence. The training for boys" events will include floor, high bar, parallel bars, mushroom(for pommel), rings and vault.

COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS IS A FULL YEAR COMMITMENT!
 
REGISTRATION PROCESSES, PAYMENTS AND REFUND POLICIES  2009-2010

Competitive Registration includes:-
  1. Annual membership fee 2009-10 must be paid by June 30 
  2. Annual program fees  can be paid in full or in 3 installments.

Membership Fees: The annual Competitive membership fees are non-refundable:
Competitive Women $130        Pre-Competitive Women $100
It includes Whistler Gymnastics, Zone 5 fees and Gymnastics BC membership/insurance.
Membership forms and membership fees must be completed by June 30 to hold your spot in the competitive program for next season.   If not completed on time for returning competitive members:-
    1.    Whistler Gymnastics reserves the right to refuse registration into the competitive program.
    2.    Whistler Gymnastics will be charging an added late competitive member fee of $25. Late fees are not refundable.

By June 30 Membership and Membership fees can  REGISTER ON-LINE  OR can be mailed or brought in-person to WG at Spring Creek Community School during office hours with cash, cheque or Visa/MasterCard.
Full option payments can also REGISTER ON-LINE if you do it all at once with your Membership.
 
The 3 installment payment option CAN NOT be done on-line as yet: It must be provided by mail or in-person to WG at Spring Creek Community School during office hours or at Strut Your Stuff with cheques or Visa/MasterCard
For the 3 installment option you must provide either 3 post-dated cheques or CC Authorization Form as a security for the club to withdraw from your Credit Card on the payment dates.
o    the 3 post-dated cheques to Sept 15, Dec 15, Mar 15th payable to Whistler Gymnastics
o    Credit Card Authorization Form: authorizing payment withdrawals on Sept 15, Dec 15, Mar 15
For the early bird discount this must be done by and the first installment dated to June 30.

Membership Registration by May 25-June 30: Your membership forms and membership fees only or with your full payment program fees:  may be mailed or brought in-person to WG at Spring Creek Community School during office hours with cash, cheque or Visa/MasterCard or REGISTER ON-LINE.

Program fee payments should be finalized by Sept 15th in person during WG office hours OR at Strut Your Stuff, the annual community Registration Fair with cash, Visa/MasterCard or cheques using the full or 3 installment option. If you wish to get the early bird discount by completing before June 30, your payment dates are June 30, Dec15 and Mar 15th.

Program Fees Include
Program fees include class training, dance, and in-class choreography, class incentives, reports, awards, meet fees/coaching expenses (not additional meets or championships); program events and refundable volunteer levy.
Program fees do not include additional events or added training; city training, camps, travel, uniforms), travel and meet fees/expenses for championship or added meets. Women’s Uniforms will cost approximately $175-$200 if you don’t have one.

Refunds
No Program Fee refunds after Sept 30 without a medical certificate (3 weeks or more). Refunds are prorated to the latter date of written notification and medical or actual program withdrawal.
It is expected that competitive athletes are committing to a full year of training and parents are committing to the full year of payment. If athletes quit mid season for non-medical reasons, Whistler Gymnastics reserves the right to request full payment of the annual fee.

NFS cheque will be charged an administrative fee of $15
Classes are subject to enrollment and coach availability.
Whistler Gymnastics reserves the right to place athletes in the appropriate age and ability groups.
No fax, phone or email registration will be done.

Registration Forms Required Forms and payments arrangements must be completed in FULL before participants can begin.
Hardcopies are available at the gym office or downloadable from the web.

1.    By June 30 All Returning Competitive Athletes  must complete 2009-2010 WG Membership form including appropriate minor/adult release/waivers or REGISTER ON-LINE
2.    In addition those wishing to use a credit card for the 3 installment payment option must fill out the CC Authorization Form. To save time you can download and prepare ahead to bring with your program fee payments.

Cancelled Classes
If classes must be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather/emergency closure or booking conflicts Whistler Gymnastics reserves the right of choice to determine make-ups options; credit accounts for future classes or provide refunds.  Account credits should be used within one year of the accreditation.

Program Withdrawal or Suspension
Whistler Gymnastics reserves the right to remove athletes from the program or for a period of time during the program for training issues, behavioral or safety issues, bullying or violence. The athletes, families and guests are expected to respect the codes of fair play and safety first practices established by the club, Gymnastics BC, Canadian Coaching Association, and SD48/RMOW facility agreements. Membership can be suspended or withdrawn for non-compliance. Refunding during program removal is at the discretion of Whistler Gymnastics.
